2025 Nobel Peace Prize

Out of all the Nobel prizes and all the winners, we are going to talk about the peace Nobel prize winner Maria Corina Machado. She was born in Venezuela October 7th 1967.

Her Nobel prize motivation was for her "tireless work promoting democratic rights for the people of Venezuela" and for her "struggle to achieve a just and peaceful transition from dictatorship to democracy." When she got it she said, “I am just part of a huge movement. I’m humbled, I’m grateful and I’m honored.” (Nobelprize.org)

During the interview, she highlights how honored she is and how strong her fellow Venezuelan people are. She says, “I accept this is as a recognition to our people, to the millions of Venezuelans that are anonymous and are risking everything they have for freedom, justice and peace and I’m absolutely convinced that we will achieve it.” (Nobelprize.org)

She was also leading the struggle for democracy of Venezuela, and she is also the Former Deputy National Assembly of Venezuela.

Overall she came a very long way for Venezuela and she should be proud.
