ASP Nature Walk
Doing nature activities outside is a fantastic way of keeping students engaged, healthy, and well; our school did it! On Tuesday September 8th, 2026, during the first period, students from grades 6 to 8 went to a local nature walk close to the school. Some students took music lessons and some played physical education games together, such as “Tag”. It was a surprising activity because the teachers and staff members planned the event for the students.
To help prepare for future events like this, people could prepare ahead of time by learning from past experiences. For example, drinking water, using the restrooms before going to the hiking range and using bug sprays or repellent accessories can help students be more prepared for the activity.
Overall, lots of students had fun and felt like the event was a good surprise compared to the ordinary school days. Many students reported that there were too many insects, especially mosquitos, and said the hiking trail was too humid and hot. The activity itself was full of joy and excitement.
