Conflict Around the World
We live in a complex and fast-changing world. Advances in technology, political changes, environmental issues, and the global pandemic are constantly reshaping our daily lives and futures. The events at the center of this change are more than just news; they represent the challenges and opportunities people face around the world. I included three examples. I will tell you about notable events in this newsletter in these modern societies.
First, the war between Israel and Hamas is escalating.

This conflict began on October 7, 2023, when Hamas launched a large-scale invasion against Israel without declaring war. However, the primary reason behind Hamas’s attack on Israel is to counter the normalization of relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia. The reason Palestine has been able to survive thus far is due to the economic and military support provided by Arab nations, which Israel deeply despises, and Iran. If the Israel-Hamas war expands to include Hezbollah in Lebanon, and if Iran intervenes, the worst-case scenario would see the U.S. being forced to join the conflict.
Second, the war between Russia and Ukraine.

The war between Russia and Ukraine is an East Slavic war that began in 2014 and escalated into a huge war between the two nations in 2022. Russia called it a “Special Military Operation.” It occurred on February 24th, 2022, and is still ongoing. Also, there was one war between Russia and Ukraine in 2014 February 20th.
Third, Myanmar Civil War

The Myanmar Civil War is part of Myanmar's internal conflict since 1948 and is a civil war that erupted when the military harshly suppressed the Myanmar coup in 2021 and the Myanmar protests in its aftermath. It occurred on 2021 May 5th and is still ongoing.
