Teacher Spotlight
Today I interviewed Ms. Joyce, our school principal. Here are the questions I asked and her answers.
Jason: How old are you?
Ms. Joyce: I stopped counting at 29
Jason: What do you love about our school’s students?
Ms. Joyce: All of the students are friendly and well-mannered.
Jason: Why did you decide to come to ASP?
Ms.Joyce: Because I love teaching and enjoy working with middle and high school students. Also, ASP is the best school in the area.
Jason: How many years have you been teaching?
Ms. Joyce: I have been teaching for 20 years.
Jason: Is your greatest strength as a teacher?
Ms. Joyce: I can motivate students to work hard both at school and at home.
Jason: What are your hobbies?
Ms. Joyce: I like fishing and going to the beach.
Jason: What do you think is the most important value in life?
Ms. Joyce: Loving myself and the people around me.
Jason: When do you feel the most rewarded as a teacher?
Ms. Joyce: I feel most rewarded when students get good grades and when they complete a lot of
homework.
Jason: What advice would you give to students who want to become teachers?
Ms. Joyce: Find your passion in life. (But maybe think twice.)
Jason: If you were to describe yourself in one word, what would it be?
Ms. Joyce: Caring.
