National Cheese Pizza Day!

National Cheese Pizza Day is on September 5th! It is a special day when when everyone celebrates the taste of classic pizzas with no toppings. On this day, people eat delicious cheese pizzas. Most pizza restaurants host sale events. Many people (especially in the USA) make cheese pizza in their homes. After the pizza is baked and ready to eat, many people take pictures and post them on Instagram!

The Origins

On June 11th,1889, a chef made a pizza with only cheese, dough, and tomato sauce. After people ate it, they thought it was savory. So, it became popular and people decided on September 5th as the official date and renamed it National Cheese Pizza Day.

FUN FACT!

The most expensive pizza costs around $12,000 at a pizzeria in Italy! This pizza is 20cm. This is served for two people. There pizzeria has lobster, buffalo mozzarella, three types of caviar, squilla mantis, and pink Australian salt for toppings. Chef Renato Viola made this pizza. He is also called Louise XIII.
